What Is Web3.0, Its Advantages And Disadvantages

web3.0

The Internet is a big thing, including web3.0. More extensive than any of us. Probably even more extensive than you, if you think about it. There are a lot of moving parts to this thing. And it’s hard to keep track of them all. For example, where did the term “internet” come from? What exactly is a domain name? How does DNS work? What is an IP address, and how does it work? Why are there so many different protocols for internet communication? And why are computers represented by numbers in the first place (e.g., 192.168.1.1)?

The history of the Internet is long and complex, with many myths and legends attached to its origins (like Al Gore inventing the Internet). To understand web3.0 and how it works, you have to have at least some basic understanding of how the Internet itself works – namely, its origin story and what makes it tick today. You also need to know a few things about the current state of items on the web. This refers to the degree to which governments and companies have power over the whole system.

What Is Web3.0?

The term “web3.0” has been used in many ways over the years. It was first coined by American computer scientist Tim Berners Lee in 2006. He used it to describe the semantic web. A decade later, a new meaning emerged, as people began talking about it as the next giant leap forward for the Internet – that is, web3.0. This is because, unlike the first two iterations of the Internet (web1 and 2), web3.0 would be decentralized and connected to an even more ambitious concept: the “Metaverse.”

Also Read: OnePlus Nord 2T Will Replace Nord 2? Leaks Suggest Nord 2T Will Come In India Around April Or May 2022

This concept, which is often associated with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), is a real-life counterpart to the world of online VR experiences – think Second Life, but on a much grander scale. Two main elements make up this Metaverse: it’s a digital space where users can meet and interact with each other through VR and AR interfaces, and it’s also a digital platform that allows users to create content and apps that are connected to this virtual reality space (and other online media). The second part will be made possible by Blockchain technology.

Everyone who uses the Internet is familiar with the idea of a website. A website is just a collection of files that we can visit online, usually accessed through Chrome. A server runs these files, basically, just a computer that stores and processes data for us. When you go to a site like Facebook or Twitter, they’re served to you through servers owned by the companies that own those websites.

Also Read: Google And Airtel Partnership Begins! Google To Invest $1 Billion In Bharti Airtel

Today, the vast majority of the world’s internet infrastructure is run by private corporations and governments – it’s centralized. This means that when we use things like Facebook or Twitter or Google, what we’re doing is using these companies as middlemen to access information stored in other places on the Internet – on servers controlled by other companies, or sometimes even in our own homes!

When we visit a website like Facebook, what we do there – how long we spend on the site, what posts we click on – is all stored in one place: Facebook‘s servers. This means that if something ever happens and suddenly Facebook isn’t around anymore, we lose all of our photos and messages stored there. It also means that you’re sending requests every time you visit a website.

Imagine a web that no one owns. A web that does not have any servers that can be taken down or any companies required to turn over data. A web where we don’t need passwords and logins to access information – where we don’t need other people to tell us what we can and can’t do online. A decentralised web secured by encryption makes it impossible for anyone to see what content is stored there unless they have permission.

This is the idea behind a decentralized decentralised web – something that many of us are working towards right now. It might sound like science fiction, but it’s closer than you think – and some of the people working on making this happen.

Data infrastructure is changing. More and more people want data to be accessible and retain control of their information. The decentralized Blockchain database system enables data to be stored in a way where it can only ever be under the power of the person who owns it, even if it happens to be held on a server owned by a corporation or subject to the control of a local government. The owners or the governing bodies will never be able to acquire or edit the data unless they have the keys to the encryption that confirms they are the rightful owners. Moreover, even if they were to shut down or delete their server, the data would still be available on one of the hundreds of other machines on which it was kept.

The advancements in the internet world continue to progress, with the inception of Web3.0. Web3.0 is the third generation of the Internet, and it continues to grow at a rapid pace.

Here are some of the perks of Web3.0: Semantic web connecting

  1. Improved appearance
  2. Extra effective web browsing
  3. Convincing correspondence
  4. Transformation in communications
  5. More credible and valid search results
  6. Working on the internet will become much easier because the Internet will be personalized
  7. The exchange of knowledge is more obtainable

However, there are some disadvantages to Web3.0 as well:

  1. Less advanced gadgets will not be able to deal with web3.0
  2. Web1.0 sites will appear to be significantly more outdated
  3. Web3.0 is extremely difficult for newcomers to understand
  4. Technology isn’t truly ready for it yet
  5. It is hard to implement
  6. Humans will spend lots of time on internet
  7. Privacy regulations will be required to protect them.

Have Omicron Symptoms But Test Showed Negative Result? Here’s An Explanation From Doctor

omicron symptoms

Do you see or feel Omicron symptoms of Covid 19 in yourself? Also, have you gone through the Corona test, but the result came negative despite having visible signs of the virus infection?  Doctors have admitted the number of people returning with negative RT-PCR test results but have been suffering from the symptoms. Doctors have pointed out several reasons behind negative results while the person has Omicron symptoms.

According to Dr. Bharesh Dedhia, Chief Consultant, Critical Care at P. D. Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre of Khar Unit, inappropriate methods of conducting tests, uncleanliness, and negligence in sample collection and storage are responsible for incorrect test results.

“RT-PCR test might return with a negative report for several Omicron variants, specifically the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) since we notice that the RAT’s precision is roughly 50 percent,” says the researcher “Dr. Bharesh Dedhia, while explaining the scenario.

My conclusion is that the fact that the viral load is relatively minimal. As a result, we have a term known as a CT value, also recognized as a cyclic threshold value. The CT score is deemed negative if it is more than 35, according to the International Commission on Medical Radiology (ICMR). Accordingly, if someone’s viral load is exceptionally modest, their cyclic threshold would be higher than 35, and the covid test would be considered negative. Furthermore, he points out that specific Omicron variants might come back with a negative result in RT-PCR tests.

The bulk of RT-PCR tests confirms the presence of newly found variants of Covid. When the S gene drop is located in the RT-PCR test, the Omicron variation is most likely to be present, and when the S gene is found in the test, the Delta variant is most likely to be present. This is how the RT-PCR identifies the occurrence of the new mutation. Gene sequencing should be implemented to corroborate the findings, ” Dr. Dedhia describes in detail. To distinguish between two varieties of the Covid-19  virus, genome sequencing is used. The use of Genome sequencing helps to enhance the efficacy of treatment.

If a patient has standard Covid signs and the RT PCR results are negative, they should isolate themselves for about seven days before getting medical care. The patient may also retest the home test and the RT PCR after the fifth or sixth day to see whether the results have changed and are positive or have remained negative throughout the isolation period.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States state the five most prevalent symptoms of the Omicron variant of Covid are cough, tiredness, congestion, runny nose, and widespread body pain.

Senior Consultant In Pulmonology and Critical Care  Dr. Harish Chafle states that Omicron symptoms could be divided into three categories, which are: the most prevalent, less common, and severe.

Swiggy Raises Funding In Series K Round, Total Market Value Goes Up To $10.7 Billion

swiggy raises funding

Hardly six months after bagging a whopping $1.25 billion investment in funding, leading online food ordering platform based in India Swiggy raises funding one more time in Series K round of funding. Swiggy has freshly procured $700 million in a Series K financing round as the Indian food tech giant is proactively looking forwards to expanding its business operations. Apart from India, Swiggy has already rolled out its services in South Asian markets.

An insider having direct knowledge of the matter revealed that Invesco managed the Series K investment round, which increased the market capitalization of Swiggy to $10.7 billion. Previously, during the Initial Public Offering (IPO) in July, the food-tech company was valued at $5.5 billion.

The market capitalization value of the food tech giant crosses Zomato’s existing market value as Swiggy raises funding in the Series K round. It is important to note here that Zomato, a 13 years old company, is witnessing a slump in its share price, which has brought down Zomato’s market value below $10 billion.

Swiggy’s Round K funding saw participation from Axis Growth Capital, Sixteenth Street Capital, Kotak, Sumeru Ventures, Baron Capital Group, IIFL AMC Late Stake Tech Fund, Segantii Capital, Ghisallo and Smile Group. Existing investors of Swiggy also participated in the funding round, which included Alpha Wave Global, Qatar Investment Authority, ARK Impact and Prosus Ventures.

Swiggy’s quick delivery service, Instamart, is on track to hit a $1 billion annual gross merchandise volume run rate in the coming three quarters, the food-tech firm believes.

Swiggy, India’s leading food ordering platform giving tough competition to Zomato,  had said last year that the firm wanted to spend $700 million to upgrade its services and geographic presence. After Swiggy raises funding, it seems the rivalry in the food delivery industry in India will witness stiff competition in grabbing market share.

‘Invesco Developing Markets Fund, on a long term basis, is looking forward to investing in leading companies across the world that have long term structural development ability. Investment in Swiggy is one such kind of investment.’ Said Justin Leverenz, Chief Investment Officer at Invesco.

Majety’s Words After Swiggy Raises Funding

Sriharsha Majety, Swiggy co-founder and chief executive, said that Instamart had achieved a Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) in only 17 months, while the core food delivery company required 40 months to accomplish the same level of success.

The ultimate goal of Swiggy is to make 100 million users at least use Swiggy 15 times a month. The completion of this goal will help Swiggy’s ecosystem to have a broader influence and bring revolution in the food and grocery delivery industry. For that, the food tech company will continue to invest in our partners and products.’ Sriharsha Majety added further.

The Indian food services sector will stand at a value of $97 billion by the end of 2026. Organized food service is increasing at a higher rate compared to the other industries, and it is anticipated to have a 55 per cent market share by 2025. By the end of 2025, we predict internet access to hit 20% and the market size to achieve $20 billion, with a compound annual growth rate of 46 per cent (CAGR). Acquisition of new customers as well as expanding into new and emerging areas will comprise the major of the company’s development.

Users can raise an issue on the CoWIN portal to correct their vaccination status. Due to unintended data entry errors, while filling up vaccination beneficiary status, a few cases showed incorrect vaccination status, said the central government.

“Revoking the vaccination status may need three to seven days after posting the online request on the CoWIN portal using the raise an issue facility for the updates to take effect. After the revised vaccination status has been correctly updated in the system, such individuals may get their due vaccine dosage, at their closest vaccination centre, in accordance with the existing standard norms,” the central government added further.

Meanwhile, the Union Government of Health and Family Welfare said on Friday that India’s gross Covid-19 vaccination coverage drive had crossed 160.43 crores after the administration of above 70 lakh jabs in the previous 24 hours, according to the ministry.

More than 159.91 crore vaccine shots have been distributed to union territories and states till now, mostly via free vaccination drive of the central government of India and the direct state procurement category of the state administrations. State and territorial governments have been receiving free Covid-19 vaccinations from the central government as part of a countrywide inoculation campaign, which has been supported by the state government as well.
