The news of Reliance Group promoter Mukesh Ambani and his family members planning to shift to London was all over the internet since yesterday. As the news broke, social media users across India expressed their repercussions on the microblogging site Twitter and other social platforms.

As per the purported news, Mukesh Ambani and his family planned to relocate to Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire, London. Stoke Park is a luxury property spread over 300 acres.

Mukesh Ambani and his family released a statement clarifying that they were not relocating anywhere else. The official statement called this overly spread the news a rumour and ascertained it as baseless.

The released statement confirmed that the Ambani family has no immediate plans to move out of India and settle in London. However, the official statement confirms that Ambani Group has bought Stoke Park situated in Buckinghamshire, London.

Why Did Mukesh Ambani Group Purchase Stoke Park?

The statement released by Mukesh Ambani and his family confirms the purchase of Stoke Park for a mighty amount of Rs 592 crore. Nevertheless, the Ambani family has not purchased it for residing purposes. As per the statement released, Reliance Group invested in this vast property to reinforce it as an exclusive golfing and sports resort in London. Reliance Industries Ltd and Reliance Industrial Investments and Holding Limited have jointly purchased the Stocke Park following the local regulations and planning guidelines.

The acquisition of Stoke Park is expected to help the company to widen its consumer business. Additionally, Reliance Group wants to widen India’s popular hospitality business to the global markets.

A day earlier, Mukesh Ambani and his family released the official statement; a rumour was circulating on the internet that the Ambani family was looking for a spacious property with a broader land area and open to nature, unlike their current home in Mumbai. Ambani family searched for such property for a long time, and then they stumbled upon Stoke Park, which suited their needs. The renovation work was also commenced, as per the rumour.

More Details About Stoke Park Mansion

Stoke Park Mansion has its origination dating back to 1066. According to the information available on Wikipedia, Stoke Park was a private residence until Nick Pa Lane Jackson bought the property and converted it to the United Nation’s first country club.

The main building is a Georgian era home situated at the centre of 300 acres of land. The Stoke Park Mansion has 49 bedrooms, a health and beauty spa, a swimming pool and a gym. The mansion also comprises a hospital. It is said that Stoke Park was also featured in two James Bond movies, Goldfinger, released in 1964, and Tomorrow Never Dies, released in 1997.

The current residence of Mukesh Ambani and his family also does not lack anything in terms of amenities. The 27 storey building has three helipads, a private theatre for 50 people, nine high-speed elevators, 168 car garage, terrace garden, swimming pools, a temple and gyms. Ambani family shifted to Antilia in 2012, and it’s been their residence since then. The building spread over a four lakh square feet area got its name from a mythical island called Antillia.
