As per the tip-off suggestions, Samsung S22 Ultra smartphone might get a new name. The Korean tech company has hinted to amalgamate its flagship S series and Note series phones in the coming year.
For almost a decade now, Samsung has carved a place for itself in the hearts of mobile enthusiasts with their Note series phones. The Note series phone had always been consisting the premium features the company had to offer. But now, it seems the Korean company wants to discontinue the Note series and offer all of its technology through the S series.
2021 was the first year in Samsung’s history not to launch any device in its flagship Note series. Samsung, instead, offered the S-pen support to Samsung S21 Ultra. Now, the S22 series come with S-pen support and a built-in silo. So, it would not be wrong to assume that Samsung’s Note series was a thing from the past.
A tweet from a notorious tipster FrontTron also emboldens the speculation about the discontinuation of the Note series. As per his tweet, the Samsung S22 Ultra will be called the S22 Note. If FrontTron’s stip turns actual, the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra will have a silo and support for S-pen. Combining the Note series features with that of the S series will help Samsung retain its Note series fan base who were expecting the new Note series phone launch.
